Traditional patterns meet playful elegance in Dale of Norway’s first product launch of the year. The new sweater, named Highland, is a cotton candy of a sweater. With its unique blend of traditional influences and playful elegance, it’s the perfect addition for spring.

THE NEW HIGHLAND SWEATER

Traditional patterns meet playful elegance in our latest sweater launch. Inspired by heritage designs, it combines luxurious alpaca yarn with an ombré cotton effect for depth and contrast. Designed in Norway and made in Italy, it’s a fresh take on a classic look.

The soft, comfortable sweater comes in three color variations and is designed in Norway and made in Italy by Maglificio FMF.

“We wanted to explore lighter yarn qualities and new expressions, and we found inspiration in Italy,” says senior designer Linn Marie Partee at Dale of Norway. “We have been familiar with Maglificio FMF for a long time. They have great expertise in lighter yarns, and they helped us create something that feels both fresh and new, yet still recognizable as Dale of Norway.”

“It was important for us to create something that feels like a classic Dale of Norway sweater while offering a fresh, new expression,” she continues. “There is playfulness in both the color choices and the textures. The airy and luxurious alpaca yarn forms a solid base. The pattern is knitted in a cotton yarn with an ombré effect, where each cotton thread has graduated colors. This yarn also has a flatter structure. Together, this creates both contrast and depth in the sweater,” she concludes.

In the Highland sweater, the luxurious softness of alpaca meets the effortless charm of vintage knitwear. The interplay of contrasts and structures makes this sweater truly stand out.
