A New Ingrid Sweater – Available now!
Ingrid Hennig x Dale of Norway
This Fall’s New, Colorful Ingrid Sweater!
Dale of Norway and Ingrid Raadim Hennig are now launching this season’s colorful Ingrid Sweater! This is the third sweater in the ongoing collaboration, and once again, Ingrid has designed a piece that captures the essence of the North. Inspired by the magical sunsets hues in Lofoten, the color palette reflects a beautiful blend of pink, purple, and hints of yellow—a tribute to the spectacular light Ingrid loves.
– I wanted a look with softer contrasts, and I also love tone-on-tone colors without it becoming dull. Many vintage sweaters feature a wide range of colors, so this time, I wanted a more understated design that still feels fresh and playful, says Ingrid about the newest sweater.
This Ingrid Sweater features patterns and a fit inspired by the 80s and 90s, drawing heavily from the vintage sweaters Ingrid has collected over the years.
The design and colors represent both Ingrid and Dale of Norway, capturing Lofoten’s breathtaking scenery. Its relaxed fit and dropped shoulders offer comfort and versatility. Knitted at our factory in Dale outside Bergen and only available in a limited quantity.
– With this sweater, I wanted to recreate that retro feeling, bring back bold colors and large patterns, and make it accessible for those who want a sweater you’d normally have to search forever to find secondhand, Ingrid explains.

The Ingrid Sweater
When Ingrid Raadim Hennig and Dale of Norway first launched the Ingrid Sweater last year, it sold out in just one hour. This year’s first release of the Ingrid Sweater also sold out quickly, and now it’s back in an exciting new color combination! Inspired by Lofoten’s magical sunsets, this limited edition sweater features a beautiful blend of pink, purple, and subtle hints of yellow.
Senior Designer at Dale of Norway, Linn Partee, explains that this year’s color choice also draws from the "Barbie-core" trend that has influenced fashion in 2024. This Ingrid Sweater brings a unique, traditional touch to the trend, making it a perfect fit for Dale of Norway.
Ingrid Raadim Hennig, a Norwegian influencer and Lofoten nomad renowned for her outdoor pursuits and countless knit sweaters, admits it's daunting to follow up such a successful release. ‘’Creating a follow-up for such a beloved item is thrilling," Ingrid confesses. "We've elevated the design to new heights, achieving a look that's even more distinctive," she says. Ingrid channels her outdoor spirit and distinctive personal style with knitwear into this new sweater.
Ingrid’s passion for knitwear emerged when she moved to Lofoten in 2017. "The style and need for wool and knits were greater here than in Oslo. I started dressing more practically, and eventually, knitwear became my daily wear," she explains.
A Colorful Journey
The greatest inspiration for this spring’s Ingrid sweater is the many vintage sweaters Ingrid has collected over several years, ‘’I wanted to recreate the retro feeling, bring back bright colors and large patterns, and make it available to those who want a sweater that you usually have to search forever to find used,’’ Ingrid explains.
Senior designer at Dale, Linn Marie Partee, and Ingrid have closely collaborated on the design and colors. "It's been incredibly fun to work with someone who loves colors as much as I do. While our mutual passion for colors posed challenges, as we liked many proposals, we're thrilled with the final design and color choice," says Linn.
In the design process, Ingrid and Dale of Norway’s design team worked closely with several motifs and patterns from Dale's archive, including the distinctive eight-pedal rose and Dale of Norway’s pattern from their popular Bjorøy sweater. These combined into something entirely new, representing both Dale of Norway and Ingrid.
"It's been a fun and colorful journey," Ingrid remarks. "We've drawn inspiration from both Dale of Norway's archives and my own wardrobe, creating a pattern that's retro-inspired yet very much of the moment." The sweater's shape is loose and oversized, offering great movement under the arms and a comfortable and flattering fit, perfect for both layering with other garments, or wearing as statement piece in an outfit.
All That Glitters
Since childhood, Ingrid has adored colors, patterns, and anything that sparkles. "Naturally, geography and climate affect my style. In Lofoten, it's almost all about colors and knitwear, while in Oslo, I swap knitwear for glitter and sequins—still colorful, a contrast I love!"
Ingrid's Instagram is an explosion of colors!
"I hope to inspire others to be bolder in their style and color choices! Vivid colors might seem intense at first glance, but when people see knitwear and colors in their proper element, it appeals to many," Ingrid says.
Long-term Collaboration
The collaboration with Dale of Norway has given Ingrid room for her ideas and thoughts. "Linn, the designer, has done an incredible job with pattern development based on my input, especially with the color palette," Ingrid shares, praising Dale of Norway's skill and professionalism.
Linn, shared that it was particularly fun to start from scratch with a new pattern and inspiration, "The collaboration led us to push the design even further than we usually do, with freer reins to play and use different color combinations and patterns."
